The Grand
Master: HSH Juliusz Nowina Sokolnicki
The
Order of Saint Stanislas, one of the true, great
and historic orders of chivalry, was founded by
the last native King of Poland, Stanislas
Augustus Poniatowski on May 8th
1765.
The
Order of St. Stanislas is based on the
principles espoused by the Polish Martyr Bishop,
and Patron Saint of Poland for whom our Order
was named. The principles we are sworn to uphold
require us to give very careful consideration to
any decision that might impact on others. The
decisions we make, individually and
collectively, are a great importance, because
they help decide the future direction of our
world.
The
Order is made up of honourable men and women of
all Christian faiths, Judaism and Islam; who
believe in one Almighty God, and share a common
concern for their fellow man. The Order itself
reflects chivalry in its' purest form; that is
"people helping people", the strong helping the
weak and those with the skills, knowledge and
finance helping the less fortunate in todays
turbulent world.
Commander
Thaddaus v. Lison G.C.St.S.
